April-May-June

Lidia and Sister Ashby went to the Mason's temple.

They taught a Sunday School class.

Sister Jackman is Lidia's new companion for their last transfer. They both go home June 27.

The sister to Lidia's left is getting baptized on June 23.

Cory is way over there while we are here.

Avery did a good job at his spring dance show.

Lidia needed to get in the computer lab at her apartment but the door was locked.
She was able to slip through. 

Lidia was able to go put roses on graves at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial day and
watch the change of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier and watch President Trump give his
Memorial Day speech. That's pretty special I think.

Our neighbor had been is the hospital for a few weeks. She has been sick for a long time with
ulcerative colitis and they finally had to remove her colon. We collected 50 balloons
to take to her for her welcome home from the hospital.

June 6 was Carrie's birthday and Sean had me and Lily scheme to surprise carrie.
We got her flowers, chocolates and balloons and took her to dinner at Taggert's in
Morgan and then we went to a youth theater production of Little Shop of Horrors.
It was a fun day.

Emme got to keep one of the Peacock's feathers at Taggert's.

I have faceted with Cory a lot these last few months.

Avery got some new summer clothes.

The store at the temple in Bern sells some American treats but very pricey.

Cory was able to go with his stake on two temple trips to the Bern temple. It's two hours or so from Geneva.

I took the boys to see their new pulmonologist Dr Tan. We like him and the boys noticed
 that he has two thumbs on one hand.

Cory had to go to work in Maryland for a week or so before going to Switzerland and he was able to go visit his cousin, Zane. It turns out that Zane's wife had her brother and his family there visiting and they are very good friends with our friends the Andertons. Small world! They were stationed in Japan at the same time.

I ran into Micah and Oliver at Walmart one afternoon. Oliver was being entertained by this dinosaur.
He likes them very much these days.

This is Cory's hotel room in Geneva where he spent way too much time. lol

I bought the royal family pop vinyls.

Our nectarine tree has pretty blossoms.

I had Oliver wake Tristan up and play with him. Tristan had rebuilt the king roller coaster.

Aiden and Tristan went to a one day EFY express in April. It was fun.

Avery loves these cookie straws I bought him at Costco.

I finally finished my kitchen makeover.

I love the color inside my oven. It's a convection oven which I like.

I really like my new dishwasher. It works well and is so quiet.

Millie likes to sleep under the blanket.

This hood was such a pain to get in. Micah had to help me drill a new hole or a complicated slot actually, for the cord to go up through and then I had to add wood underneath to get the brackets to mount flush and then I had to sand down the sides a bit to get it to fit and then I had to have Tristan feed the cord where it had to go while I pushed it up in place over my head. I was super proud of myself once I got it in!

I got a fitbit versa and I love it. I also started weight watchers. I have lost 17 pounds so far.
I am pretty proud of myself for that too.

The old faucet was very hard to get out. The old pieces did not want to come apart. I literally had to beat some things with a mallet to get it apart but I finally did and luckily the new one went in easier. I like it. It has a motion sensor and the spray functions like a blade instead of splashing everywhere.

Avery had his spring dance concert. It was really cute. His team did two dances. I did not make him sign up for next year.
He would rather dance by himself and I would like to look into some specific physical therapy for his muscular dystrophy.

I love the blossoms in spring!

I got a robot vacuum and I love it.

I finally got to see Hamilton and I did not love it, don't understand why others do. I could rant and give you a million reasons why I think it's not a good show but won't bore you here.

My nephew, Bradley, was called to serve in the St George, Utah mission! He reports to the Provo MTC August 15.

Max turned 3 in May and we had a little celebration. lol

The boys enjoy playing badminton in the backyard.

I have had grub issues in the grass, finally killed them.

I treated myself to flowers and chocolate strawberries for mother's day.

I was able to FaceTime with Lidia and Cory on Mother's Day.

Avery loves these apps that give you facial hair. He really wants his own mustache. lol

Avery had his last choir concert of the school year and had a small solo part. I felt bad for him that he forgot some of his lines but am so impressed that he was willing to try. I just wish he or the teacher had told me about it because I would have practiced with him.

My new iPad has a better camera.

I was totally into all the royal wedding coverage.

I cushioned the stools.

This may be one of the first blisters I have ever had from yard work.

I love peonies.

The royal excitement made me order some things from England. I think it will always feel like another home to me.

I got the end of mission letters from Lidia's mission president!

Tristan and Ethan went rock climbing for mutual. He really liked it but it is tiring for his little muscles.

Avery had his last school dance of 7th grade.

Bradley graduated.

Cory went to the Geneva Open. We both watched the French Open on tv.

I ordered welcome home signs for Lidia.

I painted my table and chairs and got some new chairs.

We went to Micah's for a cook out dinner.

Tristan climbed Micah's tree.

We got a good bit of strawberries this year.

Oliver thought the duck call toy was funny.

We played with Oliver and took him to get ice cream and then to the park but he fell asleep right as we got there. 

My boys enjoy the massage chairs. I would like to get one for home one day.

I got these pretty flowers from Costco and they lasted like two weeks.

These balloons were for Carrie's birthday. We turn 43 this year.

We put some dresses on Emme while we were at Macy's waiting for our showtime.

The youth production of Little Shop of Horrors was good.

We took these 50 balloons to Maddie's house as a surprise when she came home from the hospital. We had the youth write messages to her on the balloons.

I bought a new sprayer and sprayed the fruit trees and such. Our pear tree had black spot.

Crazy that Lidia comes home this week. She has loved her mission. I hope she finds things to do after she gets home that she finds rewarding as well.

This is kind of morbid but the missionaries always pretend to kill off the ones going home. lol

I fixed up Lidia's room a bit. I bought this for her bathroom.

We bought some things to hang on the wall and hung up the things we already had. The lighting is bad for pictures down there in the basement with all that yellow.

I bought this to put in the kitchen.

I put my lavender in a bigger pot and added flowers. I hope I can keep it alive. Cory just ran a drip line to it so it will get water while we are away on vacation.

Micah and Oliver came over for dinner and then we had a fire and s'mores.

On Father's Day we stayed home from church so we could be with Cory who is 8 hours ahead. We faceted with him and played games with him.

We enjoy getting out and going for a walk in the evenings when it's not so hot.

Cory is home!!! At first I was at the wrong building, forgetting that international flights are in another building. Luckily a lady that works at the airport saw us looking at the arrival board and told us so that we didn't miss him coming out.

We were stuck in traffic for a while getting home due to an accident on the freeway. Thankful it wasn't us and that the people involved were not seriously hurt. 

Cory quickly got to some yard work and picking and eating some raspberries.

Then he was very tired. He had a 32 hour day. He said he will not ever wish there were more hours in a day like some people. He didn't sleep much on his long flight. He had taken his medicine which helps keep him awake and its just not comfortable on airplanes.

We went for a walk to the new Zeppe's by the high school. They sell frozen custard and Italian ice. It's pretty good.

They are working on road construction all summer near our house on 2000 w.

Tristan turned 16 Saturday! He loved his presents and playing the games. First he wanted to read his book though.
He had friends over the day before since they were busy Saturday. Today he was ordained a priest at church. Cory ordained him and grandpa, Ben, Micah, and Aiden stood in.

I enjoyed watching the Thunderbirds perform in the air show on base from our backyard. 

I had never known about the Layton snow horse on the mountain until this year. Apparently the early settlers noticed it and always used it as an indicator about how much water they would have for irrigation or something.
