Happy New Year!

We have had a fun New Year so far. On New Year's Eve I took the older three to see the panto at the Everyman Theatre. Avery went with school and Cory didn't want to experience panto again. Ha ha. This year it was sleeping beauty and there were some good numbers but the script was horrible, it really drug on between musical numbers. Did the script writer quit or something? That night we went to the church and had fun with a couple families from church playing just dance games, ping pong, and board games until just after midnight. It was really fun.

On New Year's Day we didn't really get to sleep in because we had to get up and go to the Snow Dome. I made a booking for sledding and snow play. The sledding was fun, it was a big hill. Avery wouldn't do it by himself so he rode with me. The hand brakes didn't steer or stop too well but we managed not to crash. We had time for five runs in our thirty minute slot but we only did four because we were tired of lugging the heavy sleds around. Lol The snow play was lame, meant for babies, not families of all ages as advertised. The texture of the snow was more like sand, didn't make snow balls or anything and the snow wasn't deep enough to really play in. The ski slope would be good for lessons but can't compare to a real mountain. It was an interesting experience though. I'd never seen an indoor snow place. Afterwards we went to Frankie and Benny's for a late lunch and met the missionaries there. One of the elders used to serve in our ward in Cheltenham and they are both from Idaho, Williams is from Kimberly and Depriest is from Shelley. We had a nice time and the food was good. I also gave them a bag of American goodies like cereal and peanut butter.

Today is Lidia's 17th birthday! We are having the mutual kids from church come over tonight. I gotta get the house tidied up a bit and make cupcakes. 😃
