It was so good to talk to Lidia today and see her face! She seems very happy. The wifi wasn't good at the church. She skyped us and one minute later she froze and disappeared. Then we didn't hear anything for like 40 mins and then she skyped from a member's home which worked well. They were feeding them dinner anyway. It sounds like they are getting fed by members a decent bit and they go out to eat a lot. She has a list of places she wants to take us when we pick her up from her mission and people to meet already. She told us that her companion goes home next transfer so she will likely stay to lead out that area again with a new companion. I think it's funny that she has had a change every transfer but stayed in the same place. She said they have three people on date for baptism and that the old man she met a while back via the cat, is being taught by his local missionaries since she is in a singles ward. It sounds like she is eating plenty and not having any problems with laundry or anything. She says her apartment is cold and so she always snuggles in a blanket while studying and ends up falling asleep. She finished the Book of Mormon and has started reading it again and is about half way through Mosiah right now. She said she felt prompted to mark it as she reads it and write her testimony in it and mail it to her friend here. She's so sweet, prays for everyone everyday. She said that some people in their ward are getting married which is good for them but means the ward has to find new teachers. lol People are home from college for the summer so I think their numbers are up a bit. She said she meets a lot of foreigners and wishes she knew their language. She loves a Korean Restaurant called the Honey Pig. She is proud of her chop stick skills. She is very thankful for the members and their support. She was at the second counselor's house tonight. It sounds like their family is very supportive and she feels at home there. The mom sews and the dad is working on a treehouse in the back yard for the kids. They have helped them plant flowers and things. I noticed a picture of the Logan temple on the wall behind her. Lidia says the mission president is very nice and not intimidating at all. She said that one of his daughters got married recently. I asked if it was there in the DC Temple and she replied that it must have been because he still made it to the fireside that night. lol We showed her the dogs and told her what we have been up to and the boys talked to her a bit but mostly about silly stuff like movies and video games. My boys need to learn to talk about real life! They did tell her a bit about prom and stuff and how funny Oliver is and how big he is getting. Lidia noticed that Avery's voice is deeper. We recorded the conversation with the go pro. We talked about an hour and fifteen minutes. I don't know if we even talked about Mother's Day but what is there to say really. lol Aiden asked her why doesn't she straighten her hair and she told him that it's pointless with the humidity. It just gets curly again. She wanted to know if everyone was following her blog but I don't know numbers. I just said I think so. lol She gets on Facebook but just for missionary purposes. She said she does see things I post on her wall but not all the things I post on mine. She said that they go to institute every week and their class has a dozen or so attending regularly. One of the guys she is teaching is from the middle east and his name is Ali Jafar which is funny to her because of Aladdin. Another guy they are teaching works at a bar and a member was there waiting to meet someone and he asked her if she wanted a drink and when she replied water it lead to a conversation and she invited him to church. I think she said they are also teaching a lady that is about to move to Texas for an internship.
