Feet problems
I took Tristan to the podiatrist today. He has Sever's disease which is inflammation of the growth plate on his heels. His heels have been hurting him for a week. They did some exercises in PE that weren't good for him apparently. Sounds kinda like when you lay on your back and have your kids lay on your feet up in the air and play superman but it was a big kid and it pulled his Achilles' tendon which pulled on his heels and damaged the growth plate. It also doesn't help that he's not flexible to begin with, has high arches, is pigeon toed and overpronates. The doctor said to rest it, take ibuprofen, and stretch. He gave him some heel pads and said he should wear good running shoes instead of vans. He referred us to a pediatric orthopedist in SLC about his toes turning in. He thinks his femur is turned. I took him to the mall after the appt and bought him new shoes and lunch before returning him to school where he also ate lunch. Lol
