Montserrat

Remember Spain? Seems like long ago but we did go there in July and had a great time. Our first stop was Montserrat. It's a monastery town up in the mountains above Barcelona. It's beautiful up there. All pictures were taken with my iphone. We were very restricted on luggage so we left the big camera at home.
First in line for our flight from Bristol to Gerona

our rooms had little connecting balconies

Apparently they think chocolate chip cookies are American

mountains are cool

riding the tram to the top

hiking even higher to old cave homes

the kids thought they were in southern Utah I think,
they thought they were native American homes.
nope, monks lived up here.

thousands of tadpoles!

rest stop, we walked down the mountain instead of taking the tram back down.
my knees were about shot by the time we got done. Lidia had a blister on her
foot so Cory carried her some on his back.

they earned this ice cream

real graffiti problems is Europe...

the hotel pool was fun

the hotel was nice and very inexpensive. It wasn't very busy though.
It's kind of out in the country.

We liked this McDonalds. It has outdoor seating and a separate building for the play area.
The ones in England don't have play areas. The kids miss all the cool
indoor playgrounds in the states. I love the order kiosks they have
in France and Spain. It overcomes the language barrier.

nice view from our hotel room
