Nice to feel needed

Cory was called in to work today. He may keep working, we'll see. He still won't get paid until this shutdown ends but it makes one feel a lot better to be busy working instead of sitting at home with nothing to do. We hope it doesn't last long but it's good for Cory to feel useful. He helped with some chores over the last few days and worked in his garden some but he also napped a lot and watched tv. There are not any projects to be working on really when renting and the kids are in school. We didn't want to go out and do something that costs money. I did just find out today that the teachers' union may be going on strike Oct 17th so Avery may not have school that day. It will not affect the others because they are in private school. My kids are probably thinking the world is going nuts.
