York

I like York and it's history. The museums are good too, and cheap.

We were all seeing what dinosaur we weighed the same as.

Avery takes all of his royal duties very seriously. First he was a knight and now he is king!

This guy is supposed to be Richard III who wore the badge of the white boar.

All the really old stuff here is amazing.

York Minster is huge and amazing but we didn't go inside. I have been inside before.
If you attend a service it's free but otherwise it's very expensive to go in.
Cory and the kids were not really interested.

old Roman column

The ghost walks are fun but too scary for the kids I think.

The kids and Cory had fun solving the mystery of who stole the mayor's cat at the Castle Museum.
They are looking for the clues.

Those modern kevlar vests are really heavy.

I love this!

This must be meant for a giant. lol

We stopped for a snack and a rest and the boys had loads of fun playing on
this monument.

We walked around the city on the old city wall.

If there is a good hiding spot, these two will find it!

Someone threw a bike in the water.

The Yorkshire rose is white, the Lancashire rose is red, the Tudor rose is red and white
showing how it unified everyone.

Clifford's Tower

St Mary's Abbey

If there is a hill, they must roll down it.

The York train museum is pretty awesome if you like looking at tons of really old trains.

Tristan found a pet.

What a big water faucet! It filled up steam trains.

Tristan and Avery enjoyed making cars and racing them down the tracks.
Avery's didn't do so well but Tristan's did.

The kids loved following these small trains around the tracks.

Queen Victoria's train

Finally one we can go inside!

What do you do during the evenings when traveling? Everything else is closed so you
go see a movie. The Lone Ranger was great!
