On Tuesday afternoon we went to a little beach town nearby called Looe. We parked at the docks and saw lots of people crabbing and decided to give it a go too. It was fun and Aiden caught one and then I caught three. That was enough for each of the kids to claim one and they played with them for a bit and then we put them back in the water. Tristan picked his up and it pinched his finger and left a mark. His was the biggest of the four. After that we played on the beach for a bit. Some people were playing in the water. It was not warm enough for that. We would have frozen. It's funny now that the sun has finally come out and it's warming up to the 60's and 70's they are sending home notes from school saying you can send in sun hats, sunglasses, and sun cream for your children if you would like. Umm, mine are still wearing long sleeves. Hee hee.

Yep, that's me catching that crab. I was bringing them in quick. I was catching them off the wall. If you try and catch them from the bottom you need a net or they will fall off by the time you get them up to you. There is meat in the
mesh bag. I think ours was chicken. Some people were using fish. |

At the junior school all the kids just change clothes in the classroom in front of everyone. |

Avery and Tristan were not happy about their sandy feet.
They would walk out into the water to rinse but then even more
would stick to them on the beach. Luckily the tide was coming in and they were
able to walk through the water on the boat ramp and rinse their feet on the way back. |

I think catching crabs was their favorite part of our trip.
Avery wanted to keep them as pets. |
